Hatchet Face

I think that Pamela Anderson has officially morphed into Hatchet face- I mean the resemblance is uncanny...I doubt even their mothers could tell them apart!

Book Review- Remember Me

I just finished the new Sophie Kinsella book Remember Me and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Other than her Shopaholic series- which as you all know I love- I've never been a big fan of her books. I mean they are cute and all but nothing really special. Even as Madeleine Wickham her books were just ok. But I liked this one. The concept was interesting and I liked how it played out- it had me intrigued.

Yes, I am aware this is a chick lit book and not high quality literature but it is a fun cute read for the holidays. If you want a light read go for this- don't waste your time with the Twilight crap.

Daily Rant

Toronto is having a major snowstorm today which made my normal 30 minute Go bus ride almost 2 hours...lovely!! And I was sitting beside a SMACKER!! A SMACKER!! As soon as the bus pulled out she started eating very smelly food. It's also important to note I got VERY bad motion sickness/ residual shingle nastiness on this ride and already felt very ill. So the smell of her food was just making me ill. Then she had to smack- loudly- the entire time. I swear I almost murdered her. I tried to go out of my way to sigh loudly and squirm to let her know she was pissing me off but it wouldn't stop!! I don't care about different cultures- shut your mouth if you are eating. No one wants to hear/smell it. It was so disgusting.

I really have to do this more often- it feels very nice to release all this pent rage!!

Yet Another Duggar Enters the World

If you know anything about me you know I am obsessed with all things TLC. And I cannot get enough of the Duggars- I am so strangely fascinated by them. I mean teaching creationism and going to a museum about it- it's like they are circus folk to me!!

Anyways, today Jim-Bob and Michelle had their 18th child- Jordyn-Grace. All of their children have J names so it's not shocking. Except I can't believe they gave a sexually ambiguous name to a girl- they are very much into gender roles.

Well good luck to them- I think they are nuts but god knows I love them!

So Sad.

http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_30193.aspx

This is just the saddest news I've heard in a long time. There was a fire at a Humane Society in Durham and 160 cats were killed as well as other animals. It is just so heartbreaking- officials tried to get to them but the building was engulfed with flames and the animals died of smoke inhalation. What makes it worse is so many of these poor animals had probably been abused and already suffered. It's so awful- it makes me so upset. They are not sure how it was caused but they have had break-ins in the past and it may have been arson. Who the hell breaks in to a humane society? What is wrong with people?!!?

Anyways, Baxter and I are making a donation in honour of all the poor cats that died. I encourage all of you to do the same- we all have $10 at least to help these poor animals. And those that need a place to go when no one else will help them.

http://www.humanedurham.com/paypaldonationpage.html

I can't bear to post a pic of the fire or the surviving animals- it's too sad. Instead here is Baxter curling up on my new duvet. This is what animals should have- a comfy place to sleep

Oscar Host

It has just been confirmed that Hugh Jackman will be hosting the Oscars. I'm not sure if this is the greatest idea- I'm scared they will try to turn him into Billy Crystal. And in contrast to popular belief I never liked Billy Crystal- too pc. I LOVED Steve Martin- he is witty, dry and intelligent- all my favorite characteristics!

Hugh is charming and dashing and he can sing. I appreciate a song and dance man- but he is not a comedian. He obviously will not be writing his own material- I guess as long as he has good writers it will be ok. But he is a member of the Hollywood community- he will not want to offend. He won't be making fun of anyone- which is the part I like the most.

It should have been Steve Martin or Jon Stewart

BTW The picture is for my mom- she loves the beefcake

GQ or Playboy?

So these are pictures that Jennifer Aniston took for the new GQ. I just don't get why she didn't just do playboy because let's be honest- she might as well have. I'm sure she'll claim she won't stoop to playboy as she is an "artist" but is there really that big of a difference?

I completely forgot that the nominations were coming out today- I really have to catch up on my movie watching because I haven't seen most of them. I did see Mamma Mia and it was good campy fun

Amazing Race

I think that Nick and Starr have this in the bag. Ken and Tina are always a long shot and have been known to do well so could steal it- but Dan and Andrew are out. They are complete idiots. If they win it will make a mockery of this whole race

Man Nick climbed that tree like a monkey- he did really well. I would suck walking across that log- my balance sucks

Tina is officially losing them 1 million dollars- I hope she realizes that as she watches this back.

Well at least they got to the bridge first i guess...that looks terrifying- i would not want to upside down!!

My god this challenge is intense!! This is hugely challenging!! This challenge is crazy- i would totally pass out!! Andrew and Dan will completely suck at this!

Tina needs to pick up the pace- when she sees that Nick and Starr are done she needs to get in gear and hurry up!

It's weird that they are taking cabs to the pitstop- usually they have to run from the last challenge.

Oh one of the cabs took them to the wrong place- Ken and Tina have lost I think

God why is Tina being so difficult- she is losing it for them

How can you not know a country's flag when you were there the day before?!!? As soon as you get to another airport there are flags everywhere!!

Oh it looks like Nick and Starr listened to the wrong guy- they seem to be lost. Nope they found it

BTW I think Dan and Andrew are out of this- obviously

I think that Nick and Starr are probably in the lead- it's always tough to tell with the editing

Yup it's Nick and Starr- that's what I thought

I wish I knew how far apart they actually were from Ken and Tina...I'd love to know times

Well it's nice that Ken and Tina reconnected

How on earth do these two buffoons think they are typical frat guys?!!? They are fat and ugly and dumb!! I dated a frat guy and let me tell you- hot! Not so bright- but hot!

New Celeb Baby Name

Jonny Lee Miller has just had a baby and named it Buster Timothy Miller! BUSTER!! That isn't a name!! What the hell is wrong with these people! I love the Bluths too but Buster was a nickname there too. Why couldn't they just call the kid Timothy and give him Buster as a nickname. God I hate people

It also disappoints me because I find him so damn attractive. I know he is probably super weird since he married Angelina while she was covered in blood but still...I watched this godawful movie called Mindhunter once and really enjoyed him. How disappointing...

Daily Rant

My god this woman is just trying to piss me off now! First massacring her face and now this- not putting her child in a bloody carseat!! She who is so obviously "camera shy" had to make sure that everyone could see her as the doting mother holding her child....against all laws and commone sense!! This woman is officially retarded and should be held accountable for being a retard.

Please No Coalition!

God I hate the idea of this coalition- it is such a backhanded way of taking control. It's awful. I despise no confidence votes and despise political takeovers in the name of political stability. I mean I am by no means a fan of Harper's but he was who the public voted for. They did not vote for these three amigos. I mean a few weeks ago the entire liberal party was rejoicing that Dion was stepping down and talking about how useless he is- and now he's going to be our leader?!?! This is totally ridiculous. I smell Jack Layton and his dirty used car salesman moustache for this. I mean the economy was going down the tubes- you cannot solely blame Harper- especially since he only has a minority government. Hopefully the Governor General steps up and doesn't let this happen. If they can't respect last month's election than there is just no hope. And letting the socialist NDP in a position of power will NOT help the economy- hello Rae days.

Daily Rant

So I'm home sick this week with zero energy feeling like ass. I have no idea how people sit at home all day- I'm already bored off my tree. My rant is about daytime television- what the hell happened to it?!? When did it become so awful!?!? For the first time in my life I turned on Days of our Lives and didn't know who anyone was...all I knew was they all looked like ferrets. There are no Degrassi rerus, nothing. Boring boring boring.

Video of the Day

See more Jack Black videos at Funny or Die

I love love love any musical number and this amused me. When did Doogie become such a sexy beast?!

Daily Rant

Well now that I am stuck at home with the shingles and am whiny and bitchy I've decided to do a daily rant on here- who knows how long it will stick but it seems like a good idea right now.

So tonight's rant- I cannot handle Taylor Momsen. I just watched last night's gossip girl and while there is so much to to say about her- the excessive black eye make up, the anorexia, the alleged heroin habit- I chose to focus on the worst part. The hair. I cannot emotionally handle her hair. What the hell is up with that?!? It's like a weird mullet that offends me. Put a bag over that shit.

I can't find a pic of the family but just looking at her infuriates me. Oh- and when I was googling looking for a pic of her I found out something that explains my underlying hatred of this girl. She was Cindy Lou Who in the god awful How the Grinch Stole Christmas movie- I HATED CINDY LOU WHO!! Ach I hate her!!

Again- the shingles have isolated me and made me very cranky. I'm expecting many more rants to fly out of me...

Pushing Daisies

For the love of god ABC do not cancel this show!!! You air the crap that is Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice bt you cancel this amazing show. It is by far the best show on tv! I mean they deep friend a man to death tonight and it was all done in a comedic fantastic way- genius!! Just disregard the annoyance that is Chuck- I swear everyone else is amazing. I mean Olive sang Eternal Flame tonight- ETERNAL FLAME!! One of my most favorite songs of all time!! If anyone wants to help out a girl with shingles who is incredibly whiny right now please watch Pushing Daisies tomorrow night and give it some ratings!!

Yay Hillary!!

I am feeling more confident in Barack Obama and his administration- today he confirmed that Hillary Clinton will be his secretary of state. Go Hillary!!! Love you!!! Thank god someone is trying to act like a president- I don't think that George W has worked in months!!
